Alt text on product images, not on icons
Alt text on product images is important, and we have made it easy for you.
If you give your products good titles, they are used as the alt text of the product images.
You can also write your own image descriptions, which are then used as the alt text.
Read the guide at the bottom of the page for a good explanation of why good alt text matters, and why your SEO report may well flag errors on lots of small images in your shop without it affecting your score, as long as they are only icons and other images that are not relevant to your shop.
